Men’s fashion week…Still so new but feels lived in like a favorite pair of 10 year old Levis! Feels like it always was.

This fashion week, we got to see one of our favs, Kenneth Ning! We were joined by two amazing artists Bryon Javar(@bryonjavar) and Chris Lim (@visualgunner)! The only thing better that #nyfwm is #nyfwm with a cool fashion posse!!! #blessed Bryon Javar was in town and settling down after a successful night of styling at the VH1 Hip Hop honors. He styled Teyana Taylor and is still on cloud 9 after rave reviews!!! Our #bruceglen collection has also graced #karrueche thanks to super stylist #bryonjavar. Chris (@visualgunner) is the dope photographer that’s responsible for the cool photography of this post!!! We had such a good time and got to see an equally great collection!

image9We wore Dr. Martens Splat Pascals Boots.  These are actually two separate colorways of the Splats worn together at the same time.

Kenneth Ning’s Full Metal was inspired by “Full Metal Jacket”. The collection has both military strength and a creative bang.  Asymmetrical Cargo details won the day and editorial attention.  Fabrics were woven with metal threads for a crumpled look. There were amazing magazine ready looks AND very wearable pieces for everyday. One of our favorite looks was a trench coat on model Noa Thomas. The models seemed like young guys drafted too young but well dressed for the war on “bad dressing.” We’ll done Mr. Ning, well done!

How much did we love TMNT as kids? We have the bed sheet sets, action figures and the VHS tapes!!! With that said, imagine our joy as the homepage of drmartens.com uploaded and boasted their newest collaboration with our half-shelled buddies! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!

We love fashion that is fun at first sight and brings smiles to our faces. That is precisely the fashion we desire to create and perpetuate. In a world of serious fashion and serious fashion people, we just wanna have fun. #Fashionisfunagain and these Docs are the epitome of FUN!

Dr. marten created a special Boot for each of the karate-chopping brothers.

Purchase them here!

Glen is sporting the RAPH and Bruce is rocking the DONNIE. We paired the boots with our favorite budding trend of the season, smile inducing Tie Dye Tees.

Also, we’ve recently relocated from the Upper East Side to Queens. We now live in a very homey, residential and quiet area.  It is a far cry from city life. It reminds us of our hometown in DC. It’s refreshing to smell of trees and dirt as we walk out the door…didn’t realize how much we missed it! It’s right next-door to the Queens branch of our church…major yay!!!  We took advantage of the neighborhood charm! It’s only fitting that our first shoot after moving into out new place would be in our new place!

Hope you guys enjoy!

If you were one of the Ninja Turtles bothers, which would you be and why?

Black Out

Black is usually a safe “go-to” for most people BUT not for us! All black is totes out-of-the-box for us! We usually wear tons of color and are in fact known for crazy color combos amongst our friends and family. This was a bit of a different shoot for us. I felt like we had to be serious, lol…maybe it was just in our minds. This is def a “I’m a New Yorker handling serious business” look and “I’m on a mission” look. Weigh in, did we handle business or nah?!?!
Life made easy!
3 Fun advantages to wearing All Black Everything (ABE)
1. It’s extremely SLIMMING.
Get ready for multiple people to ask, “Have you lost weight?” Be prepared for the reality of the scale when you get home. Don’t let ABE play with your emotions.
2. It’s EASY.
No brain cells required. No matching, coordinating necessary.
3. REPEAT friendly.
People never know if you are wearing the same ABE that you were wearing the day before…lol.
Wear it to the Max!
3 Tips for wearing All Black Everything (ABE)

1. MIX and Match blacks.
Growing up, it was near illegal to wear blacks that did not match (which btw is impossible if two separate items were not dyed in the same BLACK dye lot.) Today, those rules are out the door…today, there are no rules!
***DO mix black textures and charcoal gray to add dimension.
2. BLING, Bling.
Accent with either silver or gold jewelry!
3. Add a TWIST .
A pop-color shoe is always a nice twist.

Walked into Levi’s in Times Sq and in usual fashion, headed straight for the sale racks (always head for the sales section first)! Been waiting for the right moment and “chill in the air” to debut this beauty! We’d never expect to find a treasure as special as this out side of cruising the aisles of  The Goodwill!  This vintage inspired ski Jacket makes me feel like a kids again! The BOLD graphic print is an appropriate update that still nods to the early eighties! This Jacket is perfect in every way; it’s warm, puuuurdy, and we only paid a measly $40 bucks for it. We got the vintage look we love with a few modern  twist without the smell of granny’s basement. Thank you Levi’s, you’ve done it again!
